Following consultation with Toronto's French-language school boards, the the Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir and the Conseil scolaire Viamonde, I am recommending that Council appoint one trustee from each French board to the City School Boards Advisory Committee. Correspondingly, I recommend revising the number of Council Members on the Committee to three members, and removing the requirement for each community council area to be represented. This motion is urgent so the Committee may be established and ready to meet in the new year. REQUIRES RE-OPENING: Item 2023.MM11.34 (October 11 and 12, 2023, City Council meeting), as it relates to the Terms of Reference of the City-School Boards Advisory Committee.
