This project supports the planning, design, and construction of new affordable housing units under Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC). Funding authorized through City Council Item ITEM-2024-187 directs $500,000 from the 219–231 Dundas Street East Community Benefits Charge (CBC) to TCHC for capital improvements and development costs. The allocation will be applied toward priority affordable housing initiatives, including land preparation, building upgrades, and community facilities that improve long-term livability for residents. The project is managed by TCHC in coordination with City staff, and progress will be reported back through regular Council updates and financial accountability dashboards.
